Tot School- Week in Review

Hailey is 32 months old.
This week we continued learning about the ocean and what lives in the ocean. Our letter was the letter Q. Here are some pictures of the fun we had with links to the activities I have posted more detail about.

Hailey loves playing with her bubble maker. She figured out how to make all of the bubbles stack up on top of each other.

For our letter Q activity we made this Q is for Quilt.

Hailey caught several caterpillars and all of them have gone into their cocoon phase. We will have some moths hatching sometime soon so I’m hoping she’ll be able to see it happen.

Some more fun with the bubble maker.

Hailey practiced her cutting. She does very well!

Hailey had fun making this shark.

This Rainbow Fish turned out really pretty.

We finished up our week by making this whale.

We didn’t do a whole lot of Tot School this week- I don’t know what we were doing but it just seemed like there weren’t enough hours in the day to get much work done this week. So, I’m only sharing a few activities this week. Our letter was the letter P and we continued to work on our ocean theme. Here are the activities we did this week with links to the activities I posted about.

We made a P Princess.

Hailey found a starfish craft in a book and wanted to make it.

We made this really cute little crab.
And that’s all we did this week! Stop by 1+1+1=1 and see what the other tots did last week.

This week we talked about the Ocean and the letter O. Here is what we did this week with links to the activities I posted about.

We made an Ocotpus O.

We learned about Jellyfish and made a Jellyfish using a paper plate.

We pretended that we caught some fish in the ocean and made a fish aquarium to keep them in.

Hailey learned about turtles and made a very easy paper plate turtle.

Hailey watched Finding Nemo for the first time. There was so much in the movie that I have been teaching her about regarding the ocean that it was just perfect. She did really well watching it.

We have been keeping an eye on the grass that we planted and taking pictures of the progress it has been making. I made some cards for Hailey to sequence from the day we planted the seeds until the grass had grown nice and tall and green.

We had another great week of Tot School. Our letter this week was the letter N and our theme was spring. Here are the activities that we did this week with links to the activities that I posted about during the week.

Our letter of the week was the letter N, so we made this Numbers N.
Our theme this week was spring– here is what worked on:

We made a book about How to Plant a Seed.

Then we planted some grass seed in a cup and we have been watching it all week.

Then we talked about how trees look different in the winter versus the spring and made a really pretty spring tree.

Hailey worked on sorting umbrellas by color.

We painted outside with water.

Hailey practiced pouring some bubble solution.

And, of course, she loved playing with her bubbles.

We pretended to make a garden and Hailey decided that she would plant some cucumber seeds in her garden.

We made a spring counting book– here is one of the pages from the book- after Hailey colored I gave her three pieces of orange felt to glue on.

This is another page from Hailey’s spring counting book– we used a red stamp pad for this page and used Hailey’s finger to make prints for the ladybugs. Then I used a black marker to make them look like ladybugs.

We also made some yummy brownies.
We had a fun and busy week. Check out what the other tots have been up to over at 1+1+1=1.
