Preschool Weekly Wrap Up- Letter H
Feb
Our focus letter this week was the letter H. Since it was just before Thanksgiving we learned all about harvest time.
Hunter did a cutting and sorting paper from Homeschool Creations.
Harper joins us every time she sees an art project being done. We stamped Legos into paint and used them to create a fun looking design.
Hunter working on his art project- making Indian Corn.
The completed Indian Corn.
Another activity we did was to cut open a gourd to see what was inside. Then we used them as stamps.
Since it was Thanksgiving time we made this cute craft of the Mayflower.
We actually also did several letter H activities, but apparently I never took any pictures of them. Oops!
Preschool- Letter H
Mar
Our focus letter during preschool has been the letter H. Here are some of things Hunter did:
Hunter glued hearts onto the letter H.
He made an H door knob hanger and hung it up on his bedroom door.
Hunter used Do-a-Dot markers to decorate the letter H.
He painted an H paper while he wore his H crown.
I helped him make a letter H using playdough.
He had a lot of fun making a house.
H is for house. (He insisted on putting an H at the end of word house too.)
Hunter showed Harper his H wand.
He stamped the letter H onto some paper using paint.
Hunter used a paint roller to paint this letter H…
…then he cut out some hippos (with help)…
…then he glued the hippos onto the H.
(All letter H printables are from Confessions of a Homeschooler, 1+1+1=1, and Enchanted Homeschooling Mom.)
Since Haystacks starts with H, Hunter and I made some delicious haystacks.
Other fun activities:
Working on a puzzle
Playing ABC Mouse with Hailey
Using his pegs
Coloring on his white board
As I called out a shape, Hunter put a Ninja Turtle sticker on the shape I said.
Playing with his Farmland Math set.
It was another 2 weeks of fun in preschool!
Tot School
Dec
Hunter is 23 months and 364 days (he’ll be 2 tomorrow, sniff sniff)
We had a great time at Tot School!! Hunter learned about the letter H, owls and gingerbread men.
Hailey does the calendar every morning with Hunter. She is such a good little teacher and Hunter loves it when she works with him!
Hunter loves the printables from Royal Baloo. Here he is using several of them for the letter H:
Hunter really enjoyed this mini book about helicopters.
Hunter worked on coloring a helicopter
Pointing out the letter H
Gluing helicopters onto an H.
Hunter also made an H for house.
We added a wreath above the door since it’s Christmas time 🙂
Hailey has been learning all about owls in science, so Hunter has been joining in and doing some owl activities too. Several of the ideas are from an owl unit by Deanna Jump.
Hunter made this cute little owl.
He really enjoyed this owl poem and loved pointing and saying parts of the poem.
He spent a lot of time looking at this cute little owl book.
I have been doing a Gingerbread Man unit with Hailey in language arts, so of course Hunter wanted to do everything she was doing too.
He worked hard on his coloring.
Putting together a gingerbread house.
Hunter’s completed gingerbread house.
I think we have read every version of the Gingerbread Man that there is 🙂 It was a lot of fun and I have really enjoyed the stories.
After we read “The Gingerbread Cowboy,” Hunter made a candy cane cactus.
The finished cactus hanging up on the tree in our classroom.
Hunter colored this after we read “Gingerbread Baby” and “Gingerbread Friends.”
We made this to go along with “Gingerbread Man Loose in the School.”
It was a fun week!! One more week and then we’ll be on Christmas vacation- I can’t wait!!

Letter of the Week- Review
Sep
This week we are reviewing letters E, F, G and H. So I don’t have a new letter to share. Instead I am going to share the activities we have done for all of the letters so far. I will include links to the original posts. Many of our letter of the week crafts come from No Time for Flashcards.
