Hailey colored her Letter G Template.

For our letter project that will go in our ABC book I decided that Hailey would make a Gingerbread man.

I cut out a Gingerbread shape and Hailey added all of the decorations.

The completed G is for Gingerbread page.

You’ll need: 2 paper plates, black paint, pink paint, pipe cleaner, yarn, one section of an egg carton.

Paint the egg carton section black.

Cut an ear shape from your second paper plate and then have your child add some pink to it.

Cut out eye holes, put everything together, add some yarn and you have a polar bear mask.  Hailey did not want to wear hers… oh well!

First we read some of Hailey’s books about polar bears.

Then we made our own:

Hailey painted and added snow flakes to one of the pages in her book.

Hailey painted some water on one of the pages.

Hailey told me what words to write on the left hand side of the page.

This page was painted with white, then Hailed added some clear glitter, then added some sequence for snow flakes.

Hailey added a black nose and black eyes using a marker.

On this page Hailey added ripped up tissue paper for the padded feet.

And on the last page Hailey added blue paint for water.

We made this Heart Shaped Fish.

Hailey made Valentine’s Day Cards for her grandparents.

We did some Cookie Cutter Painting.

Hailey enjoyed the Heart Sponge Painting.

This Heart Sun Catcher turned out pretty.

A Heart Wreath makes a nice Valentine’s Day decoration.

And an H is for Hearts is a good letter activity to do.

Here’s what you’ll need: blue paper, polar bear, tissue paper, white paint, glue, something to paint with, glitter.

Paint your paper to look like snow.

Sprinkle on some glitter.

Add some crumpled up tissue paper.

Paint the polar bear white.

Glue on the polar bear.

First you’ll need- an empty soda bottle, white paint (*we used Tempra paint, and I do NOT recommend using it for this kind of project) and something to paint with.

First cover the soda bottle with white paint.

While the paint dries, gather the rest of your supplies:

Sticks, tissues, glue, felt for a scarf, pink paint, wiggle eyes, sock, orange paper and a pom pom.

Stuff some tissues into the sock and glue the pom pom on to the top of the sock- this will be the hat.

Dot some pink paint on for cheeks, add eyes, nose, mouth, scarf and sticks.

*You should probably use acrylic paint if you do this.  We used Tempra paint and the paint started flaking off of the bottle as it dried.  It was actually difficult to finish the project because when Hailey tried to add things to the snowman the paint would fall right off.  So, the idea is really cute- just use a different kind of paint.

You’ll need: 3 white circles- small, medium and large, construction paper to glue your snowman on, glue and some items to decorate your snowman.

Glue your circles onto your paper.

Add your decorations to your snowman.

Here’s what you’ll need:

3 boxes- small, medium and large, wrapping paper, scissors, tape, glue, construction paper and 2 things you can use for the snowman’s arms.

In the medium sized box- cut a small hole on 2 sides for the arms.

Turn your wrapping paper inside out and wrap the boxes with the white side showing. Put the arms through the holes in the middle sized box.

Make a face on the smallest box and add a hat.

Add some buttons to the medium sized box.

Hailey loved the snowman.

She loved taking him apart and putting him back together (we had to change the hat because the other one would not stay on).

And she thought it was funny to put him together the “wrong” way.

Here is what you’ll need: an old gift box, construction paper, red and white paint, something to paint with, a fine tip marker, sequence, glue and a pipe cleaner.

Paint your child’s hand white.

Press onto the paper.

Whenever we do a project that involves a hand print I always have extra paper there for Hailey to make hand prints on once I am done with her- so here she is having fun stamping her hand prints all over the paper.

From the box- cut 2 squares. Cut the center out of one of the squares- this will be your frame.

Paint the frame.

Once the frame is dry, add some sequence or any kind of decoration you want.

Sorry for the blurriness of this picture. Anyhoo- write your poem on construction paper. Or if you have messy handwriting like I do, just print it out. This is the poem we are using:

This is the hand
you used to hold
when I was only
2 years old

Of course you can use any poem you want.

Put everything together.

We then put a magnet on the back of this so it could hang on the refrigerator.  A cute and easy keepsake.
