Preschool Weekly Wrap Up- Letter L

I am unbelievably behind in my posting! Do I start every post by saying that? Well, we did the letter L back in September and I am finally getting around to posting it, so that should give an idea of how far behind I am.

Since it was September when we did the letter L,
I had Hunter glue leaves onto the letter L.

Hunter put magnetic pom poms onto this letter L printable.

He practiced his cutting.

He sorted leaves and apples.

Hunter does one of these pages for every letter we do and he loves doing these!

Hunter did a little work in one of his workbooks.

He loves building with these Wedgits.

Harper likes to be a part of school, and was busying working on coloring.

I’m hoping to get caught up on all my posts during our Christmas break- let’s see how that goes!

Tot School

Hunter is 26 months old.

We had a fun week at Tot School learning all about the letter L.

Learning can be pretty tiring 🙂

Hunter colored this letter L printable from 1+1+1=1.

Hunter dotted the letter L and then added some foam letters to his paper.

Hunter enjoys doing the ABC Find It for each letter.

He added the letter L to our Chicka Chicka Boom Boom Tree.

Hunter made a L is for lion.  He didn’t want to touch the yarn though because he thought it was a spider, hahaha

We did lots of fun activities to celebrate the 100th day of school.

Hunter helped Hailey paint the continents for a project she was working on in history/geography.

Letter of the Week- Letter L

Last week Hailey learned all about the letter L.  Here are the activities that we did:

Hailey made this L shaped Lion from Totally Tots.

Hailey made these ladybugs using her finger print.  She then added some dots and antenna.

She completed this letter hunt worksheet from Confessions of a Homeschooler.

One of Hailey’s favorite things to do is play on Starfall.  She did the letter L activities and reviewed the other letters she has learned.  Then she played some of the other games.  She does so well navigating her way around the site.

Hailey used her do-a-dot markers to do this letter l page from Confessions of a Homeschooler.

For each letter we do Hailey colors vocabulary words, cuts them out, glues them onto index cards and we turn it into a little book.

Hailey glued the letters we have done so far with RRSP onto a piece of cardstock.  Then to review all of the letters we sang this song to the tune of “Do You Know the Muffin Man?”

I am really working on getting Hailey to be able match her lowercase letters with the uppercase.  She loved this matching puzzle from Homeschool Creations.

This is also from Homeschool Creations- and Hailey enjoys forming her letters using playdough on these printables.

We are also doing RRSP.  Here are the activities Hailey did from there:

Here is the verse of the week for the letter L.  I didn’t really think Hailey would be able to memorize this verse, I thought it was too long.  But she really shocked me and learned it very quickly!

Hailey enjoys this part of the power point the most- she wants to be able to guess which word will be coming up next.

Reading her “I See” book and pointing to “see” which was her sight word of the week.

Hailey had to cut her verse and then tape it together.

She was excited to see that her verse was as tall as she is.

Working on her candle craft that she had to color, cut out and glue.

Other stuff:

Practicing shapes with printables from 1+1+1=1.

Doing a page for the number 5 in her Disney workbook.

Playing with puzzles to practice colors and shapes.

Lion and Lamb Puppets

Since we’re learning about weather in March this week I had Hailey make some lion and lamb puppets.

First I painted each of her hands- one yellow and one white.  Notice anything unusual about the yellow hand print?  Somehow she ended up with 6 fingers on that hand, which I did not notice until later.

After the hand print was dry I drew on a tail, face, and some claws.  Hailey added some orange and yellow tissue paper for the mane of the lion.

Then she added some cotton for the lamb.

We also added a popsicle stick to the back so Hailey can use them as puppets.
