Preschool Weekly Wrap Up- Letter F
Dec
Back in October, during Fire Safety, week we did a unit all about fire safety and the letter F.
We used this book, No Dragons for Tea by Jean Pendziwol. I had never read this book before and we loved it! It was such a perfect story to teach about fire safety and what to do if there is a fire.
Hunter loves using these do-a-dot markers, so we usually do one of these letter worksheets with each letter.
Hunter glued red, yellow, and orange pieces of paper onto a letter F to look like fire.
Hunter colored firetrucks different colors, according to the color word.
Hunter worked in a Fireman counting book- he counted the different items and then circled the number that corresponded.
(All letter F printables are from Confessions of a Homeschooler and Homeschool Creations)
We learned about Stop, Drop, and Roll and then Hunter colored a paper about it.
I made some pretend flames and laminated them. I also wrote numbers on them to practice identifying numbers. Then I covered a spray bottle with red tape and made it look like a fire extinguisher. Hunter loved spraying the flames!
Hunter made a little fireman hat.
I made this cute firetruck with our co-op preschool class. This is Hunter’s firetruck.
Hunter mixed together yellow and red paint on a flame shaped paper. He was very impressed to see it turn orange.
Then we practiced saying- Don’t hide! Go outside!
And of course, we went on a field trip to a fire station.
It was super fun week!
Tot School
Nov
Hunter is 23 months old.
We had another fun week at Tot School!
It seems like Veterans Day was a long time ago, but really it was just last week. Hunter made this cute soldier on Veterans Day.
Our letter was F, and Hunter was excited to use the firetruck printables from Royal Baloo.
More fun with fire trucks… and wearing his turkey hat.
Gluing firetrucks onto the letter F.
Hunter added the F to our Chicka Chicka Boom Boom tree.
Hunter made this F craft from Totally Tots.
The finished F is for Fox.
Trying out some scissors.
I recently added a little basket for books related to what we are studying and Hunter loves looking at the books. Hailey was learning about spiders last week and I had read this book during science. I looked over later and Hunter was sitting there reading it! I love that he usually picks the books we have read together.
Just doing some coloring.
I just thought this was cute- I looked on one of my bins and saw that Hunter had set up Woody and Buzz with a little snack. I love how he plays and pretends now. This age is just so much fun!!
Stop by 1+1+1=1 to see what the other tots were up to this week.

Letter of the Week- Review
Sep
This week we are reviewing letters E, F, G and H. So I don’t have a new letter to share. Instead I am going to share the activities we have done for all of the letters so far. I will include links to the original posts. Many of our letter of the week crafts come from No Time for Flashcards.
Letter of the Week- Letter F
Apr
Last week our letter was F. Here are some of the things we did:
F is for Fox from Totally Tots.
F is for fire from Homeschool Creations.
Hailey colored her letter F vocab words. Then she cut them out and made it into a book.
She circled the letter Ff in this letter hunt story from Confessions of a Homeschooler.
Here are some of the thing we did from RRSP:
Hailey colored her verse.
She colored her sight word. (This word was actually from a different week- we are catching up a few sight words.)
Practicing her letter F words- seeing how quietly she could say them.
The cut and glue craft for the verse.
Other stuff:
Doing a page in her sight word book for the word “for.”
Doing some number 9 work in one of her Disney workbooks.
Doing a clothespin number match from Confessions of a Homeschooler. Check out the giveaway going on for the K4 Curriculum at Confessions of a Homeschooler!
A lot of times I can only find things like this for 1-10. So I was really excited that Hailey could get some more practice with 11-20.
