Preschool Weekly Wrap Up- Letter G
Mar
At the beginning of December we did a fun gingerbread unit and Hunter learned about the letter G.
We have lots of different books about the Gingerbread Man, the Gingerbread Baby, the Gingerbread Girl, and more. So, each day we read a different gingerbread book.
Hunter glued glitter on to the letter G. Glitter is always so much fun 🙂 But working with it on a tray is definitely helpful.
On this printable from Royal Baloo, Hunter rolled a die and then stamped the number that he rolled. He insisted that we do the numbers in order. He likes to do things in an orderly fashion haha
Of course when Harper saw the do-a-dot markers out she had to participate.
Hailey and Hunter decorated gingerbread men. Thankfully ours didn’t run away.

Hunter with his gingerbread boy.
We decorated gingerbread houses.
Hailey’s finished house…
…and inside her house is her gingerbread baby.

…with his gingerbread baby inside.
Gingerbread units are always so much fun!
Tot School
Nov
Hunter is 23 months old.
It’s hard to believe that November is almost over! We started doing tot school last January and I can’t believe it’s been almost a year.
Hunter’s letter was G this week. We added it to our tree and he was able to find it and point it out.
Hunter made a G craft for our letter wall.
G is for Giraffe
Our color this month was yellow. Hunter knows his colors now, so I will probably stop having a focus color next month and just make sure we do a lot of reviewing so he doesn’t forget.
We have been learning all about Thanksgiving, and Hunter made this Mayflower.
Hunter also helped to make a Mayflower boat- you can see the Mayflower post here. Hunter loves it! He loves sitting in it and it’s funny to hear him say he’s sitting in the Mayflower.
We also learned all about pumpkins this week and Hunter really enjoyed that.
The pumpkins are attached to this little board with Velcro. We sang a little song to go with our pumpkin patch to the tune of “Oh My Darling, Clementine.”
I saw a pumpkin, a big fat pumpkin
It was hanging on a vine
[Hunter] came along and picked it
Took it home and said, “It’s mine.”
Hunter loved picking his pumpkins 🙂
We also cut open a pumpkin to see what the inside was like.
Hunter really enjoys reading books from our book basket.
We made a little book about how pumpkins grow. This book came from the Pumpkin Patch Palooza unit I am using with Hailey.
We also planted some pumpkin seeds… we will see if anything happens.
Stop by 1+1+1=1 to see what the other tots were up to this week.

Letter of the Week- Review
Sep
This week we are reviewing letters E, F, G and H. So I don’t have a new letter to share. Instead I am going to share the activities we have done for all of the letters so far. I will include links to the original posts. Many of our letter of the week crafts come from No Time for Flashcards.
Letter of the Week Review E-H
May
After every 4 letters that we do I have a review week with Hailey. One of the activities we do for review is to put together our Alphabet book. This time we added these pages:
I cut out the letters that Hailey decorated when we learned each letter and she glued them on to a piece of paper.
Then we put the pages into a binder that is Hailey’s alphabet book.
Hailey loves reading her alphabet book!
Another thing we do to review the letters is to make a little book for each letter.
Hailey colors several different pictures of words that start with E.
Then she cuts out the pictures.
And then glues them onto an index card. When it’s dry I turn it into a book- she will eventually have one for every letter of the alphabet.
We also played Alphabet Bingo using the letters that she has learned so far. This game has been a bit hit!!
