Creation Days 6 and 7
Oct
We finished up our Creation theme with days 6 and 7.
For day 6 you will need: glue, card stock, picture of your child, picture of various animals, paper that says “Day 6” and paper that says “God created animals and people.”
Have your child glue his/her picture in the middle of the paper and then put the pictures of the animals all around.
Finished Day 6- God created animals and people.
For day 7 you will need card stock, glue, a paper that says “Day 7,” a paper that says “God rested,” a picture of the earth and a heart. When I sent these images to the printer they were much bigger. I’m not sure why they ended up so small when I actually printed them. Then I was having some computer and printer problems and didn’t want to deal with the hassle of reprinting them. But, I wanted them to be much bigger.
The finished Day 7- God rested.

Creation Days 4 and 5
Oct
Last week I taught Hailey about days 4 and 5 of creation. Here are the pictures we made to add to our Creation Story Wall.
Here’s what you’ll need: paper, glue, moon, stars, sun, yellow crayon, paper that says “Day 4” and paper that says, “God created the sun, moon and stars.”
Hailey glued on the sun and moon. The stars were stickers that she placed on. When she was done I helped her draw the beams coming out of the sun with a yellow crayon.
Finished Day 4- God created the sun, moon and stars.
And day 5-
You’ll need: paper, glue, cotton, blue tissue paper, pictures of fish, paint, paper that says “day 5” and paper that says “God created fish and birds.”
Glue the cotton on for clouds and the tissue paper on for water. Then add some fish to the water.
Use your child’s finger print to make birds. I showed Hailey how to do a few of them and then she took over.
Finished Day 5- God created fish and birds.
Story of Creation- Day 3
Sep
This week we continued learning about the 7 days of creation. Hailey is still working on her memory verse- “God created all things. John 1:3” She can say it with prompting and it is incredibly cute.
We made a nature collage, emphasizing that God made all of these things.
Here’s what you’ll need: Go for a walk (or right to your back yard) and collect various pieces of nature. We have some flowers, leaves, grass, sticks, etc. And you’ll also need some clear contact paper.
Stick your pieces of nature to the contact paper.
Add a piece of contact paper to the other side to seal your project. Hang it up on the refrigerator.
Then we made our Day 3 picture to add to the first two days we already made.
Here’s what you’ll need: card-stock, sandpaper for land, tree shape, green for leaves on tree, green for grass, flower stickers, glue, piece of paper that says “Day 3” and paper that says “God created the land with grass, trees and flowers.”
Put everything together.
The finished picture for day 3.
