Mapping With Flat Stanley
Jul
Back in June we started a Flat Stanley project and we have been having some fun with his travels. First he did a little traveling on the east, then he went out west for another adventure. Right now he’s busy in Pennsylvania and we are looking forward to seeing some pictures of his travels. I wanted Hailey not only see all the great pictures of where Stanley has been, but I also wanted her to see where these places are on the map.
On our US map Hailey put pushpins in for each of the locations that Flat Stanley has been.
I tried to get a little better picture so you can see the pushpins. There is too much glare so it’s hard to see, but this is how we’re keeping track of where Stanley goes.
We can’t wait to add some more pushpins as Stanley does more traveling!

Bee Crafty Kids- Popsicle Stick Fish
Jul
Welcome back to the Bee Crafty Kids link up that I am co-hosting with To The Moon and Back, Look! We’re Learning and Monster’s Ed Homeschooling Academy.
This week we made these popsicle stick fish:
To make these cute fish you will need:
8 popsicle sticks (for each fish)
2 small googly eyes (for each fish)
glue
paint
glitter
fishing wire
First, glue the popsicle sticks together as Hailey is doing above.
Then add a popsicle stick across the top as shown here. Once that is dry, turn your fish over and add another one to the other side.
Once the glue is dry, paint your fish the color of your choice.
While the paint is still wet, sprinkle on some glitter.
Add a googly eye to each side.
Use some fishing wire to hang up your fish.
Hailey’s completed popsicle stick fish… hanging from the chandelier in our dining room 😉
Now it’s your turn! Link up and share what you and your kids have been busy making. Grab a button so others can join in the crafting fun too 🙂

Whale Craft
Jul
We are definitely enjoying learning all about the ocean and today we made a cute whale.
Here’s what you’ll need: paint, something to paint with, a small cardboard planter box, pipe cleaners, construction paper and a sharpie.
We wanted our whale to be a light blue, so Hailey mixed some white paint in with the blue.
Then she painted the planter blue.
Hunter painted his blue too. (He had just woke up from nap and still looks half asleep!)
We cut out the flukes to add to the back of the whale (and learned the real name).
We added some pipe cleaner to his blowhole.
Completed whales 🙂
