Letter R Activities:
(Printables for the letter R are from 1+1+1=1 and Confessions of a Homeschooler.)
Hunter colored a letter R paper.
Hunter lined up all sorts of characters on this letter R printable.
He loved stamping the letter R onto this paper. He also loved stamping the letter R onto his hand and mine :-).
Hunter had fun making this R is for Rainbow.
Circle Activities:
Hunter practicing shapes with help from Hailey.
We stamped circles using recycled containers.
Hailey wanted to make one too.
We sang a fun song about circles that I found in one of my Mailbox magazines. It goes to the tune of “If You’re Happy and You Know It.”
A circle is a shape that goes round.
A circle is a shape that goes round.
A circle is a shape that goes round and round and round.
A circle is a shape that goes round.
Then we sang other verses like:
[Put your hands] on the circle and go round.
[Put your hands] on the circle and go round.
[Put your hands] on the circle and go round and round and round.
[Put your hands] on the circle and go round.
We did other verses like stomp your feet, tiptoe slowly, hippity hop, etc. We just had a lot of fun making up verses and acting silly.
We painted bubble wrap…
…then we stamped the painted bubble wrap onto paper to make circle prints.
Sensory:
Hunter enjoyed playing with beads in his sensory bin. He always ends up spilling them and making a huge mess, so I hate getting them out- but he has so much fun. I hid some circles in his bin that he had to find.
The Easter bunny brought playdough and Hunter has been enjoying playing with that.
Other:
I colored inside an egg carton.
Then Hunter sorted his counting bears onto the correct colors.

Hunter colored his Q paper.
Hunter used colored pencils to color the quilt.
He stamped the letter Q onto the queen paper. (He kept asking where the boy was to go with the queen.)
He filled up the letter Q with sequence.
Hunter loves using his do-a-dot markers.
We made a Q is for queen. When he finished making the queen he asked if we could make a boy for her.
Sensory:
Hunter had a bin of buttons this week. He spent a while looking over all over the buttons.
He also had a bin with bottle caps.
I put some shampoo in a ziploc bag and Hunter enjoyed playing with it.
Other:
Playing a matching game with a quilt.
Some shape practice. Hunter really surprised me and wanted to do this activity several times.
ABC puzzle with some help from Hailey.
Hailey read “No, David” to Hunter.
Hunter wanted to color a picture of a boy to go with the Q for queen we made. He thought for sure she needed to have someone.
Hunter’s Lego people did some traveling around the world.

Tot School
Sep
Hunter is 21 months old.
We had another fun week at Tot School! I finally feel like I’m getting into a routine with homeschooling Hailey, so the activities I did with Hunter this week were a bit more purposeful than they have been in the last few weeks.
Hunter made this cute “A is for Alligator” that I found at Totally Tots. Hailey loves to work with Hunter and help him, and of course he loves to have her help.
A is for Alligator.
Hunter is also learning the color red and circles, so he had fun stamping red circles.
Hunter loves the printables from the Zoomin Movin Alphabet. This week he seemed to understand that he can stamp the do-a-dot marker onto the circles on the paper.
Hunter and Hailey doing some toe-touches while working on their memory verse.
Having fun dancing.
Hunter made this apple parts craft that went in his Apple Totbook, which I will be sharing sometime this week.
We also learned all about Johnny Appleseed this week and made a cute craft about him, which I will also share this week.
Hunter loved pretending to be Johnny Appleseed and wearing a pot on his head.
Hailey and Hunter watched a short movie (about 17 minutes) about Johnny Appleseed on YouTube.
Hunter made an apple basket craft, which I will also share this week.
This Apple Tree Activity turned out super cute!
Hunter enjoyed making this Apple Core Craft with Hailey.
We are using Road Trip USA for Hailey’s geography curriculum and we made a Robin Craft this week, to go along with Connecticut. Hunter loves doing everything that Hailey does 🙂
