Tot School
Mar
Hunter is 27 months old.
We had a great week at Tot School this week!
Letter N activities:
We used several printables from COAH. Hunter lined up his counting bears on the letter N.
He traced the letter N with his finger.
Hunter glued noodles onto the N is for Nest paper.
He used his do-a-dot markers to dot the letter N.
I made a Nemo lapbook for Hunter.
Hunter enjoyed using his Nemo lapbook.
Hunter painted a letter N paper from 1+1+1=1.
We made an N is for numbers… and I found out that Hunter can identify some of his numbers.
Manipulatives:
Hunter sorted his bears.
Hunter worked on sorting his rainbow pegs by color. It really bothered him that there wasn’t enough room for all of the colors to have their own row. He kept taking pieces out and trying to make room for the purple pegs.
He liked making a necklace with the rainbow pegs.
He worked on pounding some nails.
Hunter did some building with some blocks.
Sensory bins:
I put sea shells in the sensory bin one day. Hunter was not very interested in the shells.
I put macaroni noodles in his bin another day, which he loved.
Other:
Hunter had fun playing basketball with Hailey at swim and gym.

Tot School
Mar
Hunter is 27 months old.
We have been busy having lots of fun in Tot School! We had 2 short weeks, with only 3 days of school each week. So, this post covers what we did during the last 2 weeks.
Letter M activities:
Hunter glued pom poms onto the M and the monkeys. We used this and several other printables from COAH.
Hunter lined up some Unifx cubes on the letter M.
Hunter colored the letter M.
Hunter used water colors to paint this M paper. We also used this and several other printables from 1+1+1=1.
He stamped the letter M on this mouse and then glued on some foam Ms.
I’m pretty sure the M&M activities were his favorite 🙂 Although he ate most the M &Ms instead of putting them on the paper. I gave him a little pile of M&Ms and told him to put them on the M on his paper. He said, “I can’t” and then stuffed them right in his mouth hahaha.
He practiced color sorting with the M&Ms.
We made this M is for Mike (or M is for Monster).
We read 5 Little Monkeys Jumping on the Bed. Hunter loved this book and has been singing about the monkeys ever since.
I made a Five Little Monkeys lapbook for Hunter.
The inside of the lapbook. Hunter loved this!! We had so much fun with this lapbook.
Manipulatives:
Hunter worked on his alphabet puzzle.
These rainbow pegs kept Hunter busy for a long time!
Sensory Bins:
I have decided to do a couple of small sensory bins each week with Hunter.
Hunter liked playing with the beads.
The yarn was fun too.
The bean seeds were definitely his favorite.
Hunter loved the sensory bins!! They all kept him occupied for a very long time.
(I was closely supervising Hunter during the sensory bin activities as the beads and beans are both choking hazards).
Other stuff:
Hunter had fun in our tunnel.

Tot School
Nov
Hunter is 23 months old
We had another fun week at Tot School!
We are learning all about spiders and we even caught a spider to observe. Hunter really liked watching the spider!
Color sorting with M&Ms onto different colored spiders.
I asked Hunter, “Where is the blue one?” and he pointed in his mouth because he had just eaten a blue M&M 🙂
Hunter loved searching through rice for some plastic spiders.
We sang a little spider song. We sang it to the tune of 10 little Indians:
Crawl, crawl, crawl like a spider.
Crawl, crawl, crawl like a spider.
Crawl, crawl, crawl like a spider.
Crawl around your web.
We used different words in place of crawl like pounce, jump, etc.
You can see some of the other spider fun we had by clicking on the picture above.
Hunter enjoyed some sensory bags this week- this one had shaving cream in it.
He also played with a sensory bag with shampoo in it.
E was our letter this week- we were making an elephant and didn’t have any gray paper, so Hunter colored the paper.
Making the E craft
E is for Elephant
Hunter played with his letter magnets and sang the ABCs
We added the letter E to our Chicka Chicka Boom Boom Tree.
We have been learning about Thanksgiving and this week we learned about the Sioux Indians and made tee-pees. Hunter worked a long time coloring his tee-pee.
Hailey and Hunter’s finished tee-pees.
Hunter likes to do whatever Hailey is doing, so he worked on coloring a picture just like she was doing.

Tot School
May
Hunter is 16 1/2 months old.
These weeks need to stop flying by so quickly, it seems like I just did a Tot School post, but here I am again doing another one. This week we started a new color- orange, and continued our space theme.
Hunter checking out his orange sensory bin.
He wanted to wear this orange hat.
He kept his hat on and practiced throwing the football into a bowl.
This is Hunter working on making a moon rock. You can see the full post here, to see how we made them.
Our completed moon rocks, which I think turned out really great! Hunter has enjoyed playing with his rock all week. It didn’t hold up too well when he put it in his water table, but the water certainly looked nice and glittery.
We also made paper bag aliens. Hunter loved using the do-a-dot markers to decorate his.
Hailey showing the completed aliens. (Full post here.)
We also made UFOs. (Full post here.)
Here are the completed UFOs, hanging from our chandelier.
