Letter of the Week- Letter J
Feb
Our letter this week is the letter J. I had a really hard time coming up with a craft to do relating to the letter J. Then I saw Hailey looking at one of her Veggie Tales books and talking about Junior. So, we made a Junior J.
Here’s what you’ll need: a large J on construction paper, several Juniors, crayons, glue and another piece of construction paper to glue the J on.
Color your Juniors.
Color the J.
Glue the Juniors onto the J.
Our completed Junior J.
Tot School- Week in Review
Feb
Hailey is currently 28 months old.
Another week of Tot School has gone by- the time is just flying! Here is a review of what we did this week with links to the activities I posted about.
Our letter of the week this week was the letter I. We made this Ice Cream Cone I.
Hailey loved doing this heart sponge painting.
Hailey colored the pieces for our first Tot-Book.
Here is the outside of Hailey’s completed Veggie Tales Tot-Book.
The inside.
You can get everything you need to make your own at Veggie Tales Tot-Book. (Thanks so much Carisa for doing the Tot-Books!)
Hailey really enjoyed her Veggie Tales Tot-Book!
We also painted using cookie cutters shaped like Valentine’s.
Hailey made Valentine’s Day cards for her grandparents.
Hailey really enjoyed making this heart fish.
Stop by 1+1+1=1 to see what the other moms of tots did last week.
Heart Fish
Feb
I didn’t know what to do for a craft today and since we have been busy getting our house ready to put up for sale I was just going to skip an activity for today. But then I saw this really cute (and very easy) heart fish over at Totally Tots (which if you are not reading yet, you have to start!) and just had to do it.
Here’s what you’ll need: background piece of paper, 1 large heart, 3 medium sized hearts, 1 small heart, 1 teeny-tiny heart, glue and something to decorate your fish with (we used sequins).
Glue your fish together. The large heart is for the body of the fish, the 3 mediums are for a tail and fins, the small one is for his mouth and the teeny tiny one is for an eye.
Add some decorations to the fish.
The finished fish.
Valentine's Day Card
Feb
We made Valentine’s Day cards to send to Hailey’s grandparents the other day. I found a cute idea over at Ramblings of a Crazy Woman and we went from there. It was really simple and Hailey loved it.
Here’s what you’ll need: construction paper, glue, crayons, heart shapes and a little circle cut out of cute paper (I used scrap book paper).
Write your message on the inside of the card and then have your child “write” something too.
Then we glued the hearts to the front of the card in the shape of a flower.
Our finished card.
