Tot School- Week in Review
Oct
Hailey is 36 months old.
We had a busy week last week and didn’t get most of our activities done. We were out and about every day plus it was Hailey’s 3rd birthday. So, we did a few projects but most were left undone. Here are the activities we did have a chance to do with links to the original posts with more details.
Letter Activity:
We made this Cc is for Clock which will go into our alphabet book.
Theme Activities:
Our theme was Fire Safety and we made this fire out of red and yellow paint and then glued a fire truck onto the fire.
Hailey wanted to make Dot the Dalmatian after reading one of our fire safety books that had a dalmatian named Dot in it.
Other Activities:
Hailey loves puzzles and worked on her number puzzle.
She also worked on these shape puzzles.

Tot School- Week in Review
Oct
Hailey is 36 months old (my baby turned 3 this week!).
Here is a review of the activities we did last week with links to the original posts with more details and activities.
Letter Activities:
Hailey painted the letter Bb blue.
Our letter this week was the letter B. We made this cute Bb is for Bumble Bee.
Hailey loved making this Bb is for Bandaid Butterflies.
We have four word cards each week to go along with our letter of the week. Hailey is practicing her letter B words.
Theme activities:
We learned about fall and leaves last week. Hailey loved making several leaf rubbings.
We made these pretty fall leaves by coloring coffee filters with markers and then spraying them with water. The colors blend together and make very pretty leaves.
Hailey learned the names of the parts of a tree.
Hailey made a “Where is the Leaf?” book to practice words like under, on, in, behind and over.
Hailey also learned about making patterns.
Color and Shape activities:
Hailey wanted to why yellow and blue make green.
Playing our own version of Twister was a great way to practice colors and to focus on circles.

Colors and Shapes
Oct
Since Hailey knows all of her colors we don’t really have a color we focus on for our activities. But this week as she was coloring she noticed that when she colored with a yellow crayon on blue paper that it looked green. She was pretty interested in the change that took place, so we decided to experiment using some paint to see what happened.
Mixing the yellow and blue together to see what happens.
Hailey also knows her shapes but I try to plan some activities to make sure she doesn’t forget what she has learned. So, last week we did this circle activity:
We played a modified game of Twister. I would spin the wheel and she would either put her feet or her hands on the correct colored circle. Hailey loved it!
Then she decided that her stuffed animals and babies would like to play too. She’d spin the wheel, get a color and then put each baby on the correct circle.
Pretty Fall Leaves
Oct
These leaves are so simple and they turn out so pretty.
Here’s what you’ll need: coffee filters, markers and a spray bottle.
Cut the coffee filters into leaf shapes.
Color the leaves using some fall colors. The more you fill up the leaf with colors the better it will turn out.
Put some water in your spray bottle and lightly spray the leaf. The colors will run together creating a very pretty look.
Our finished leaves.
