Tot School
Mar
Hunter is 27 months old.
We have been busy having lots of fun in Tot School! We had 2 short weeks, with only 3 days of school each week. So, this post covers what we did during the last 2 weeks.
Letter M activities:
Hunter glued pom poms onto the M and the monkeys. We used this and several other printables from COAH.
Hunter lined up some Unifx cubes on the letter M.
Hunter colored the letter M.
Hunter used water colors to paint this M paper. We also used this and several other printables from 1+1+1=1.
He stamped the letter M on this mouse and then glued on some foam Ms.
I’m pretty sure the M&M activities were his favorite 🙂 Although he ate most the M &Ms instead of putting them on the paper. I gave him a little pile of M&Ms and told him to put them on the M on his paper. He said, “I can’t” and then stuffed them right in his mouth hahaha.
He practiced color sorting with the M&Ms.
We made this M is for Mike (or M is for Monster).
We read 5 Little Monkeys Jumping on the Bed. Hunter loved this book and has been singing about the monkeys ever since.
I made a Five Little Monkeys lapbook for Hunter.
The inside of the lapbook. Hunter loved this!! We had so much fun with this lapbook.
Manipulatives:
Hunter worked on his alphabet puzzle.
These rainbow pegs kept Hunter busy for a long time!
Sensory Bins:
I have decided to do a couple of small sensory bins each week with Hunter.
Hunter liked playing with the beads.
The yarn was fun too.
The bean seeds were definitely his favorite.
Hunter loved the sensory bins!! They all kept him occupied for a very long time.
(I was closely supervising Hunter during the sensory bin activities as the beads and beans are both choking hazards).
Other stuff:
Hunter had fun in our tunnel.

Hunter is 26 months old.
We had a fun week at Tot School learning all about the letter L.
Learning can be pretty tiring 🙂
Hunter colored this letter L printable from 1+1+1=1.
Doing some shape practice
Hunter dotted the letter L and then added some foam letters to his paper.
Hunter enjoys doing the ABC Find It for each letter.
He added the letter L to our Chicka Chicka Boom Boom Tree.
Hunter made a L is for lion. He didn’t want to touch the yarn though because he thought it was a spider, hahaha
We did lots of fun activities to celebrate the 100th day of school.
Hunter helped Hailey paint the continents for a project she was working on in history/geography.

Hunter is 26 months old.
Hunter loves to sing (and to dress himself, ha!). He stands up on his chair in the classroom, raises his hand, and sings, “I Love You, Lord”
He does this most days. (And picks out his clothes most days, too.)
Many days while I am doing school with Hailey, Hunter will play quietly with Hailey’s legos.
Hailey learned about George Washington this week. Hunter listened in to all of our readings about him, and wanted to wear the George Washington wig too.
Hunter learned about the letter K this week, and used printables from 1+1+1=1.
More letter K practice
We made a K is for King.
Hunter did some practice with his numbers, also using the printables from 1+1+1=1.
Practicing colors.

Hunter is 25 months old.
Hunter likes to do everything that Hailey does, so last week he learned all about the Chinese New Year.
Working together to answer questions about the Chinese New Year.
Hunter’s letter was the letter J. We used Tot School printables.
Hunter enjoyed coloring the J is for Jellyfish.
Coloring the letter J
Hunter had fun doing the ABC Find It for the letter J.
Coloring pictures of things that start with J.
I added a bulletin board next to Hunter’s desk to display all of his letter work each week.
Hunter also made a J project- he used Do-a-Dots to decorate the letter J.
Adding some tentacles.
Hunter’s completed J is for Jellyfish
Finding the letter J on our Chicka Chicka Boom Boom tree.
I made this jellyfish in a bottle, that I found here. I made it in a 2 liter bottle, which I do not recommend. It ended up being too heavy for Hunter to actually play with.
