Heart Sponge Painting
February 10th, 2009
This craft is so simple, but definitely one of Hailey’s favorite things to do. While she does love our activities that are more directed by me, she really loves when she can just do whatever she wants. I try to remember to do a lot of crafts where she can just be creative and we don’t have to worry about following directions.

Here’s what you’ll need: paper, paint, a heart shaped sponge and a paper plate.

Spread the paint thinly on the paper plate and enjoy sponge painting.

The end result.

Heart Suncatcher
February 6th, 2009
Today we made this very simple and pretty heart suncatcher.

Here is what you’ll need: tissue paper, scissors, contact paper, a piece of paper to use as your outline for your heart.

Tape a piece of contact paper down on the table with the sticky side up. Put your heart outline on the contact paper. (There is a pretty design on the other side of the heart outline.)

Cover the inside of the heart with torn up tissue paper.

The finished heart suncatcher.

Heart Wreath
February 5th, 2009
I had planned to wait until next week to post our Valentine’s Day crafts, but I’m in the mood to start now. So, we’re starting today instead.
We made this very easy and cute Heart Wreath.

Here’s what you’ll need: paper plate, paper, scissors and glue.

Cut the center out of the paper plate and cut hearts out of the paper.

Glue your hearts onto the plate.

The finished Heart Wreath, which you can proudly display with your Valentine’s Day decorations.

Letter of the Week- Letter H
January 26th, 2009
Our letter this week is the letter H- which is Hailey’s favorite letter. When I told her we were doing the letter H she said, “That’s for Hailey. ‘H’ is in my name!”
Here is our art project for the letter H this week, which I once again found at No Time for Flashcards.

Here’s what you’ll need: the letter H on construction paper, another piece of construction paper to glue your finished H on, some glue and some hearts.

Glue the hearts onto the letter H.

The completed letter H.
