Letter of the Week- Letter S
Sep
Our letter this week is the letter S, so I showed Hailey a couple of choices over at No Time for Flash Cards and let her pick what she wanted to do. She decided she wanted to make a Star S.
Here’s what you’ll need: an S, some stars, paint, glitter, glue, something to paint with, bowls and construction paper.
Hailey used the silver glitter paint to paint the black construction paper.
Then I mixed some glitter in with the yellow paint.
Hailey used the yellow glitter paint to paint the stars…
… and the letter S.
After the stars were dry I cut them out.
Hailey glued the S and the stars onto the black construction paper.
Our finished Star S.
Blastoff!

We are working on a space theme right now, so we made this fun space shuttle.
Here’s what you’ll need: construction paper, glue, glitter, aluminum foil.
Cut out these pieces.
Glue everything on.
Put torn up pieces of aluminum foil on the space shuttle.
Add some dots of glue and put glitter on them for some stars in the sky.
Full Moon
Jun
We are starting a theme about space and Hailey absolutely loves the moon. So, when I saw a cute moon over at No Time for Flashcards I knew that Hailey would love this idea. I have done this before to make clouds or snow but thought to use it for a moon. It turned out cute though.
Here’s what you’ll need: glue, shaving cream, bowl, spoon, construction paper and a cereal box. We used the inside of the cereal box to make our moon because you need a heavy kind of paper to make it.
Mix equal parts of shaving cream and glue together.
Have fun! Hailey loved playing with the mixture. This kept her occupied for a very long time.
Leave the shaving cream and glue to dry. I left ours over night to make sure it was dry.
Once it’s dry, cut out the circle shape and glue it onto a black piece of construction paper.
