Apple Tree Activity
Sep
I love how these apple trees turned out! Plus, they were easy and fun to make 🙂
First, we glued the base of the tree onto the paper.
Next, we glued ripped up pieces of green paper to the top of the tree.
After that we stamped red, yellow and green paint onto the trees to represent apples. We used the ends of markers to do it, they were the perfect size.
Hailey decided to rip up more paper to add some grass and a sunshine.
Our finished apple trees.

Apple Life Cycle Craft
Sep
Welcome back to the Bee Crafty Kids link up that I am co-hosting with To The Moon and Back, Look! We’re Learning and Monster’s Ed Homeschooling Academy.
We have been having lots of fun doing a unit study all about apples. We made this super cute and easy apple life cycle craft.
Hailey and Hunter each had a strip of paper. First they glued an apple on.
Next I gave them a paper apple to rip and make it look like it had been eaten.
The 3rd step was to glue on some seeds.
Next they made a tree…
and added some pom pom apples.
Finaly, we added this cute little poem:
Eat an apple,
save the core.
Plant the seeds,
and grow some more.

Poppins Book Nook- Fairy Tale Theme
Aug
The theme for the Poppins Book Book this month was fairy tales, which is a perfect theme for us! The only problem was- which book to pick! Before we could decide on a book, we had to find out exactly what a makes a book a fairy tale.
I drew this lovely castle… I thought I was doing a pretty good job drawing it, but while I was working on it Hailey said, “Are you sure you don’t want to just print one? I don’t want you to embarrass yourself on the internet.” She did admit I did a pretty good job once it was done though. She colored it in after I finished drawing it.
Then we went over what makes a story a fairy tale. Once we knew what needed to be in a book to have it be considered a fairy tale she decided she wanted to read Cinderella.
Hailey did a great job reading “Cinderella” to Hunter.
Then we decided to make Cinderella’s carriage. Hailey and Hunter painted a pumpkin blue.
Then Hailey added some glitter.
Our finished Cinderella Carriage.
Then Hailey wrote her own fairy tale.
Posing with her favorite page in her book.
