Fireworks Craft

21
Jun

This was one of those activities that is more about the process than the end product.  It wasn’t one of those crafts that turns out super cute, but Hailey had a lot of fun doing it… and Hunter had a lot of fun thinking he was doing it.

Fireworks Craft

You will need- 3 spray bottles- there is watered down paint in each bottle- red, white and blue.  You’ll also need black construction paper and tape.

Fireworks Craft

I set this up on our deck- I taped up the paper and put an old towel down underneath it.

Then Hailey had a great time spraying the paper.  The idea was for it to look like fireworks.

Fireworks Craft

Hunter thought he was doing it too, but the top was still on the spray bottle.

It was fun, a bit messy and doesn’t really look like fireworks at all 🙂

Toy Story Birthday Party

Jun

Last week I shared pictures from Hailey’s Brave birthday party, so I figured I would post pictures from Hunter’s birthday party too.  I already shared these on my personal blog, but I have different readers there, so I thought it would be good to have birthday party pictures here too.

Here are some of the decorations from the party:

Pictures from Hunter’s first year.

The dining room all decorated with a Toy Story theme.

A few decorations in the living room.  (His party was in December, in case you wonder why there is a Christmas tree hahahaha.)

Happy Birthday!

Alien marshmallow pops

Santa Hats (this had nothing to do with Toy Story, but they were cute and super delicious!)

Sheriff badge cookies

Hunter all ready for his party… waiting for the guests to arrive.

The birthday cake

Hunter enjoyed having everyone sing Happy Birthday to him

Hunter’s cake… he wasn’t sure what to do with it.

It was a great party!!

Father’s Day Poem

I found a really cute poem on Pinterest and thought it would be perfect to use for Hunter to give to my dad for Father’s Day.  Hunter sure does love his Pa, so I wanted to use the perfect poem.  I printed the poem and then let Hunter do some coloring on it, then I added his handprints and glued it onto some scrapbook paper.

Father's Day Handprint Poem

Here is what the poem says:
I like to walk
with Pa…
He takes his
time you see
His steps are
little just
like mine;
He stops and
waits for me.

He lets me ask
him questions
He lets me hold
his hand.
He makes me
feel 10 feet tall
And I think that
he is grand.

He says there’s
no one like me
And gold is
what I’m worth.
When I get to
walk with
Pa
I’m the luckiest
kid on earth!
