The Cat in the Hat

We are going to be celebrating Dr. Seuss’s birthday all week. Here is the first activity we did:

We read The Cat in the Hat by Dr. Seuss (I also let Hailey watch the movie). Then we made a hat.

Hailey cut out the hat. This hat is part of the Dr. Seuss unit from What the Teacher Wants.

Then she tore up red and white tissue paper.

And glued in on the hat, making the correct pattern.

The finished hat. Very simple and she loved it!
