Tot School
Jun
Hunter is 29 months old.
We were back to our regular Tot School activities this week and had a good week.
Letter T activities:
(Printables for the letter T are from 1+1+1=1.)
Hunter started the week out by coloring his letter T paper. I’ve noticed lately that he actually colors the objects on the paper, rather than just coloring all over the page.
Hunter loves using the do-a-dot markers. He used them to stamp the letter Ts on the train.
T is for Train
Shapes:
Our shape this week is the square.
Hunted used blocks to stamp squares onto his paper. He really enjoyed this and asked to do it again later in the day.
Hunter glued squares onto a square to make a face.
We did some puzzles to practice shapes.
Sensory:
I put grass seed into Hunter’s sensory bin this week. He really enjoyed this and played with it for a long time!
I put soapy water into the water table and Hailey and Hunter played in it and used sponges to scrub it clean.
Other:
Hunter used his rainbow pegs to make a vacuum- he pretended to vacuum the floor with this.
I love finding Hunter taking books off the shelf to read.
Hailey read Hunter his Highlights magazine.
Hailey studied worms for science, and of course Hunter wanted to join in the fun.
Hunter and Hailey created little worm habitats so that we could observe our worms. I was surprised that Hunter actually picked the worms up to put them in his jar because he is not usually a fan of things like that.

We had a super fun week at Tot School last week- we were in Disney World!
This was the day we left for Disney. We drove to a hotel the night before so we would be close to the airport we were flying out of. In the morning the kids could hardly wait to leave for the airport. I think you can see they were a little excited 🙂
Finally on the airplane. Hunter did so good! He slept for about an hour of our flight then was awake the rest of the time- but he was very good. (Hailey was too!)
After we arrived in Disney World, we checked into our hotel and then took a short boat ride over to Magic Kingdom.
Here are some pictures from our 10 days there of the fun Hunter had at Magic Kingdom:
Hunter loved the train ride!
Dumbo was definitely one of his favorites.
Hunter and Hailey had their opera glasses on, all ready for Mickey’s Philharmagic. It’s a fun 3D show and Hunter loved it! When we were in Disney World back in August, Hunter didn’t get into the 3D shows, but this time he was reaching and trying to grab the things that were flying towards him. It was so cute!
Hailey took Hunter (and Rich) on a ride around the Tomorrow Land Speedway.
Hunter loved meeting the princesses. He enjoyed talking to Cinderella and getting her autograph.
Here are some pictures of the fun that Hunter had while at Hollywood Studios:
We went through the museum about Walt Disney and Hunter really enjoyed it!
Waiting in line at one of our favorite rides at Hollywood Studios- Toy Story Mania.
Hunter was so excited to meet one of his favorite characters- he loves Wreck it Ralph!
Of course, we had to meet Lightning McQueen..
and Mater.
Here are some pictures of some of the fun Hunter had while at Animal Kingdom:
Our family on our way into the park in the morning.
Hunter loved the dinosaurs!
Hunter and Hailey working on matching up some dinosaur fossils.
Hunter loved getting to pet and brush the animals.
I was very surprised that Hunter touched a snake- he does not usually like things like this.
Hailey and Hunter working on their Wilderness Explorer books. There were fun and educational stations set up around the park for this program and they both loved it!
Here are a few pictures of the fun that Hunter had when we visited Epcot:
One of Hunter’s favorite things to do was seeing the characters- especially Minnie Mouse.
Hunter and Hailey in Bruce’s mouth.
Hunter loved stopping at the Kidcot stops to work on coloring his Duffy the Bear.
We visited Norway and saw the trolls.
We had lunch in America.
We stopped for a little visit in France.
We also spent some time in Mexico.
We walked through the butterfly garden too.
We had a fantastic time!! We’re all sad to back home- Hunter had such a hard time coming back home. He kept crying on our way home saying he didn’t like his house and he wanted to go back to Disney World. But we’re slowly settling back into our routine and getting back to normal.

Tot School

Hunter is 28 months old.
It was another fun filled, busy week at Tot School.
Letter S activities:
(Printables for the letter S are from 1+1+1=1 and Confessions of a Homeschooler.)
We always start out our week with Hunter coloring a paper for his letter of the week. He has even started asking to do this.
He loves doing the do-a-dot printables for the letter too. He is getting much better at dotting the letter rather than just putting random dots all over the paper.
We lined up some pom-poms on the letter S. Hunter didn’t want me to take anymore pictures on this day 🙂
Stamping the letters has become one of his favorite activities. He asks to do this almost every day.
We added the letter S to our Chicka-Chicka-Boom-Boom tree.
Hunter painted an S and some stars.
S is for Stars.
(I mixed the glitter into the paint rather than sprinkling it on and there was no glitter mess.)
Circles:
Hailey and Hunter had fun blowing bubbles- and noticing that they are circles.
Hunter put some circle shaped paper onto a contact paper shaped circle.
I turned it into a circle sun catcher.
He glued different colored circles onto a circle.
We made a “circle man.”
Sensory:
Hunter requested eggs for his sensory bin this week.
Other:
Hunter working on a clay dish for Mother’s Day. I helped him shape the clay into a little bowl. Then he added beads and sequence while the clay was still wet. Once it was dry he painted it using water colors.
Hailey and Hunter’s finished bowls.

Letter R Activities:
(Printables for the letter R are from 1+1+1=1 and Confessions of a Homeschooler.)
Hunter colored a letter R paper.
Hunter lined up all sorts of characters on this letter R printable.
He loved stamping the letter R onto this paper. He also loved stamping the letter R onto his hand and mine :-).
Hunter had fun making this R is for Rainbow.
Circle Activities:
Hunter practicing shapes with help from Hailey.
We stamped circles using recycled containers.
Hailey wanted to make one too.
We sang a fun song about circles that I found in one of my Mailbox magazines. It goes to the tune of “If You’re Happy and You Know It.”
A circle is a shape that goes round.
A circle is a shape that goes round.
A circle is a shape that goes round and round and round.
A circle is a shape that goes round.
Then we sang other verses like:
[Put your hands] on the circle and go round.
[Put your hands] on the circle and go round.
[Put your hands] on the circle and go round and round and round.
[Put your hands] on the circle and go round.
We did other verses like stomp your feet, tiptoe slowly, hippity hop, etc. We just had a lot of fun making up verses and acting silly.
We painted bubble wrap…
…then we stamped the painted bubble wrap onto paper to make circle prints.
Sensory:
Hunter enjoyed playing with beads in his sensory bin. He always ends up spilling them and making a huge mess, so I hate getting them out- but he has so much fun. I hid some circles in his bin that he had to find.
The Easter bunny brought playdough and Hunter has been enjoying playing with that.
Other:
I colored inside an egg carton.
Then Hunter sorted his counting bears onto the correct colors.
