Tot School- Week in Review
October 25th, 2009
Hailey is 36 months old.

Here are the activities we did last week with links to the original posts.
Letter of the Week Activities:

Our letter of the week was the letter D- we always start out by decorating a letter template.

Hailey used our letter D cookie cutter to cut some Ds out of playdough.

We made this Dd is for Doctor bag for our alphabet book.
Theme Activities:

Hailey worked on Pumpkin Sequencing and learning how a pumpkin grows from a seed.

We made this cute little pumpkin from a styrofoam ball, tissue paper, felt and a pipe cleaner.

This was an easy pumpkin painting- we spread red and yellow paint onto a cookie sheet and then pressed pumpkin shaped paper onto it.

We also made this scarecrow, which turned out soooo cute!
Other Activities:

Hailey worked on her shapes using this fun sticker book.

Hailey enjoyed making some shapes out of playdough!

Hailey is 36 months old.

We had a busy week last week and didn’t get most of our activities done. We were out and about every day plus it was Hailey’s 3rd birthday. So, we did a few projects but most were left undone. Here are the activities we did have a chance to do with links to the original posts with more details.
Letter Activity:

We made this Cc is for Clock which will go into our alphabet book.
Theme Activities:

Our theme was Fire Safety and we made this fire out of red and yellow paint and then glued a fire truck onto the fire.

Hailey wanted to make Dot the Dalmatian after reading one of our fire safety books that had a dalmatian named Dot in it.
Other Activities:

Hailey loves puzzles and worked on her number puzzle.

She also worked on these shape puzzles.

Tot School- Week in Review

Hailey is 36 months old (my baby turned 3 this week!).

Here is a review of the activities we did last week with links to the original posts with more details and activities.
Letter Activities:

Hailey painted the letter Bb blue.

Our letter this week was the letter B. We made this cute Bb is for Bumble Bee.

Hailey loved making this Bb is for Bandaid Butterflies.

We have four word cards each week to go along with our letter of the week. Hailey is practicing her letter B words.
Theme activities:

We learned about fall and leaves last week. Hailey loved making several leaf rubbings.

We made these pretty fall leaves by coloring coffee filters with markers and then spraying them with water. The colors blend together and make very pretty leaves.

Hailey learned the names of the parts of a tree.

Hailey made a “Where is the Leaf?” book to practice words like under, on, in, behind and over.

Hailey also learned about making patterns.
Color and Shape activities:

Hailey wanted to why yellow and blue make green.

Playing our own version of Twister was a great way to practice colors and to focus on circles.

Tot School- Week in Review
October 4th, 2009
(Hailey is 35 months old.)

It has been a long time since we participated in Tot School. We got busy with our move and then busy enjoying summer and I just ran out of time to participate. But we are back! Our first week back to Tot School was the week of Sept 21st, right after we came home from Disney World. We had a great vacation but we all came home sick- so our first week was kind of a slow week. Here’s what we did:
Our letter of the week was the letter A and our theme was Apples.

We made this Aa is for Apple page for what will be our alphabet book. You can see all of our A Activities here.

We made the Seasons of the Apple Tree- we made one page for each season to show how the apple tree looks during each season. You can see how we did the Seasons of the Apple tree here.

We made this very simple Paper Plate Apple.
As you can see it was a pretty light week in terms of projects. We were feeling much better last week so I will have a lot more to share during this coming week.
