Bee Crafty Kids- The Mayflower
Nov
Welcome back to the Bee Crafty Kids link up that I am co-hosting with To The Moon and Back and Look! We’re Learning.
We have been learning all about Thanksgiving this month, and having lots of fun! This week we focused on the Pilgrims and what it was like on the Mayflower. Then we made our own Mayflower.
Hunter and Hailey painted a box brown. We actually ran out of brown paint, so we had a little mini-lesson on which colors you can mix together to get brown.
The next day, Hailey added some windows.
Hailey made a sign and we added some sails.
Hunter and Hailey both enjoy sitting in the Mayflower 🙂

Bee Crafty Kids- Turkey Fun
Nov
Welcome back to the Bee Crafty Kids link up that I am co-hosting with To The Moon and Back and Look! We’re Learning.
We are learning all about Thanksgiving this month and this week we did some turkey crafts.
First up- we made turkey hats
Hailey and Hunter posing in their turkey hats.
(I have to mention that we did this on our Wacky Wednesday fun day, which I’ll be posting about later. But, Hailey is wearing her pajamas inside out for Wacky Wednesday. Hunter is wearing his pajamas because he insists on wearing his Lightning McQueen pajama shirt almost every day.)
We made another fun turkey, that I had made with Hailey a few years ago. It’s amazing how much she has changed since we made turkeys a few years ago.
Hunter adding some feathers to his turkey.
Hailey made a pattern with her feathers.
Hailey had written a turkey poem, so she added her poem to the front of her turkey.

Veterans Day
Nov
We don’t have school today because of Veterans Day, but I decided to do a quick little activity.
First we read “The Veterans Day Visitor” by Peter Catalanotto and Pamela Schembri. It was a pretty good story for explaining why we observe Veterans Day.
Then we made some soldiers that I saw on Pinterest.

Bee Crafty Kids- Fun With Spiders
Nov
Welcome back to the Bee Crafty Kids link up that I am co-hosting with To The Moon and Back and Look! We’re Learning.
We are doing a fun unit about spiders right now. I am loving learning all about spiders, but I am pretty sure that I will always be very terrified of them.
Here are some of the fun activities we did this week with our spider unit:
We used Oreo cookies, Twizzlers (the ones that you can peel), frosting and M&Ms to make a little spider snack.
Here is Hailey’s completed spider.
Hailey and Hunter made these cute spider hats. Hunter wasn’t a fan of his and said, “NO spider!” He was willing to pose for a picture, but he refused to wear it after that.
Then we made another spider snack- these did not turn out exactly like I thought they would hahahaha… we used a donut, pretzels, frosting and M&Ms.
Here is Hailey’s spider
Ummmm… and Hunter’s spider
This was mine, a bit more of what I had in mind. But, when Hailey and Hunter pushed the legs (pretzels) into the body (donut) they didn’t do it very gently, so the donuts pretty much crumbled. They were yummy anyway 🙂
