Vase and Flowers
Apr
Here is cute Earth Day project, that I saw on Pinterest, using recycled materials.
You’ll need a water bottle, cardboard, bottle tops, pipe cleaner, glue, paint and some tissue paper to for leaves.
Hailey painted the water bottle. We used acrylic paint which will stay on the plastic very well.
Hunter made one of the flowers…
He didn’t really want to give up his bottle tops and when he got down to having 2 left he kept saying, “no, no, no, no!” when I showed him where to put the pieces.
Hailey made the other flowers
She used pipe cleaner for stems and then added tissue paper for the leaves.
I used a hot glue gun to glue the water bottle to the cardboard.
The finished vase and flowers.

A Couple More Mother’s Day Crafts
May
I know Mother’s Day is over… but these are two gifts from this year. So I figured I’d post them and you can use them next year.
Hailey made this one for me at school. She decorated the pot- used her finger tips to make the flower. Then she cut out 2 flower shapes and used her own picture as the middle of the flower. I love it and she was so proud of it!!
Hailey and Hunter made this one together. Hailey decorated the flower pot. Then I cut out their hand prints and made them into flowers in the pot.
Both of these have styrofoam in them to keep the flowers standing up.
Hope everyone had a great Mother’s Day!!
Mother’s Day Poems
May
Here are some of my favorite Mother’s Day crafts that Hailey has done. They each have a cute little poem with them:
Someday I will be big
And gone upon my way
But here’s my little hand-print
To remind you
of this day
XOXO
My Handprint Flower
A piece of me
I give to you,
I used my thumb
and fingers too.
it doesn’t smell,
it doesn’t grow,
I made it because I love
you so.
My dirty little fingerprints
I’ve left on every wall,
and on the drawers and table tops,
I’ve really marked them all.
But here is one that won’t rub off,
I’m giving it to you,
because I’m thankful for a Mother just like you!
