Apple Lapbook
Oct
We are working on a fall unit study that we started back in September. We just finished up a fun mini-apple unit that is part of our fall study.
We are using a 1/2 inch binder for our fall unit study.
Then there are tabs for each of our mini-units that will be included. Hailey keeps all of her papers about each unit in the correct section of her binder.
At the end of our apple unit Hailey put together an Apple Lapbook.
Here is the inside of her lapbook.
Left side- How to Make Apple Pie from Homeschool Share
Apple Fractions from Homeschool Share
Middle- Apple Life Cycle book from Enchanted Homeschooling Mom
Vocabulary Words from Enchanted Homeschooling Mom
Right side- Apple Tree Seasons- Enchanted Learning

Bee Crafty Kids- Apple Basket
Oct
Welcome back to the Bee Crafty Kids link up that I am co-hosting with To The Moon and Back, Look! We’re Learning and Monster’s Ed Homeschooling Academy.
We have had so much fun learning all about apples and making all sorts of apple crafts! Here is another one we had fun doing:
This is almost everything you’ll need to make your apple basket. I did forget green paper for the leaves on the apples.
Hunter glued his apples onto his paper. I helped him glue his basket onto his apples.
Hailey wrote out a sign for how much her apples would cost.
The completed apple baskets.

Celebrating Johnny Appleseed
Oct
We just finished up an apple unit study and for part of our study we learned about Johnny Appleseed.
We read “Who Was Johnny Appleseed?” by Joan Holub. We really enjoyed this book!
Then I saw a cute Johnny Appleseed craft at The Moffatt Girls that we did.
Here is everything you’ll need to do the craft.
Hailey gluing her project together.
Hunter working on his.
Completed Johnny Appleseed crafts. I wrote a fact about Johnny Appleseed on Hunter’s craft and Hailey wrote her own fact.
In honor of Johnny’s birthday Hailey tried wearing a pot on her head.
Hunter had to try too.
Hailey and Hunter watched a short movie (about 17 minutes) about Johnny Appleseed on YouTube.
